Special Organizational Meeting
Tuesday March 4, 2003
An organizational meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held this date in the Kelly Auditorium at the Mount Desert Elementary School, Northeast Harbor, Maine.
Those present included Selectmen: Richard Savage, Jerry Suminsby, Ernest Coombs, Emily Damon Pascal and Patrick Smallidge.
Called to order at 9:45 pm at the conclusion of Town Meeting, by Selectmen Richard Savage.
Organizational Meeting
A. Election of Officers for the Board of Selectmen.
MOTION: Selectman Patrick Smallidge moved to elect Rick Savage, Chairman
seconded by Selectman Jerry Suminsby. The vote was unanimous in favor
MOTION: Selectman Emily Damon Pascal moved to elect Ernest Coombs, Vice Chairman
seconded by Selectman Rick Savage. The vote was unanimous in favor.
MOTION: Selectman Ernest Coombs moved to elect Emily Damon Pascal, Secretary
seconded by Selectman Rick Savage. The vote was unanimous in favor.
B. Approval and signing of Disbursement Warrants to be effective March 4, 2003
MOTION: Selectman Savage moved, seconded by Selectman Damon Pascal
to sign the Wage and Benefit Disbursement Policy, Disbursement of Municipal Education
Costs and the Disbursement Warrant Ordinance. The vote was unanimous in favor.
Other Business
A. Approve appointment of Jim Bright to the Cranberry Island Parking Lot
Negotiation Committee.
MOTION: Selectman Savage moved seconded by Selectman Suminsby to appoint
Jim Bright to the Cranberry Island Parking Lot Negotiating Committee.
The vote was unanimous in favor.
